For this CLUE assignment, I mapped and analyzed the commons. I started this project at 6:00 PM, and left the commons at about 6:45. The parts I mapped out were the main entrée line, the burger line, the salad bar, and the drink fountains. I found out some things from the behavior of students from inside each individual line. I noticed that the majority of people who visited the salad bar were women. I also noticed the majority of the people going to the burger line were men. This may suggest that men prefer a more unhealthy diet for dinner than women. I also noticed at the drink fountain that more women got water and juice than men. The soda fountains were predominately used by men. The drink that college students were mostly attracted to was the chocolate milk. All this data can point to the idea that women generally make healthier choices than men, but everyone loves that chocolate milk at the commons.
